Simon Pegg & Nick Frost’s ‘Slaughterhouse Rulez’ Finally Gets U.S. Release Date

Bloodius. Hellius. Maximus. It’s like horror at Hogwarts in the latest Simon Pegg and Nick Frost movie Slaughterhouse Rulez.

It has been awhile since the pair’s last live action film together, The World’s End, having previously starring together in Shaun of the DeadHot Fuzz. After leading the infamous “Three Flavours Cornetto” trilogy, Pegg and Frost are back, and headed to school. This creature feature has been out overseas for almost a year now. But now it’s been announced that the film will finally be making it’s way across the pond.

Slaughterhouse Rulez will get a theatrical release in the U.S. on May 17th. With DVD/Blu-ray release following shortly after on June 18th.

Director Crispian Mills helmed Slaughterhouse Rulez, having also written the script. Also joining Simon Pegg and Nick Frost in the film is Margot Robbie, Asa Butterfield, and Michael Sheen. Watch the trailer below and be sure to follow ScaryNerd for more.

Synopsis:
Welcome to Slaughterhouse, an elite boarding school where boys and girls are groomed for power and greatness…and they’re about to meet their match. This ancient and ordered world is about to be shaken to its foundations – literally – when a controversial frack site on prized school woodland causes seismic tremors, a mysterious sinkhole and an unspeakable horror is unleashed. Soon a new pecking order will be established as pupils, teachers and the school matron become locked in a bloody battle for survival.
