Horror Doll Fight: Who would win? ‘Annabelle’ Writer and ‘Child’s Play’ Producer weigh in
This summer, there will be an evil doll battle at the box office! The Child’s Play remake hits theaters June 21, and Annabelle Comes Home haunts its way to the big screen five days later. We’ll have to wait and see who wins overall at the box office, but who would win if the two killer dolls actually existed in the same universe? Well, that all depends on who you ask.
Gary Dauberman, writer of all three Annabelle films and director of the upcoming Annabelle Comes Home, recently spoke with EW. It’s safe to say we all know which doll he’d bet on.

“You know, I’m really excited to see that movie,” Dauberman said about the upcoming Child’s Play. “But it feels like Chucky would have to work hard. Annabelle’s vey good at just sitting and having other people do her bidding. The demon would, for sure, win. But it would be a f—ing great fight, I’ll say that.”
“Chucky, ten times out of ten”
Likewise, Child’s Play producer Seth Grahame-Smith kept his response very polite but had a different opinion on which evil doll would win. “Chucky, ten times out of ten, with all due respect to Annabelle,” said Grahame-Smith, who is also a producer on the Dauberman-written It: Chapter Two. “I love James Wan, and I love Gary Dauberman, but Chucky would kick Annabelle’s a–.”

Fans of the original Child’s Play have had their doubts about the upcoming reboot of the franchise. However, after the announcement of Mark Hamill as the new voice of the slasher doll, fans began to accept the reboot. Meanwhile, Annabelle has continued to creep out audiences since her appearance in The Conjuring in 2013. Either way two possessed dolls could make for a good battle of the spirits!
