‘The Queen Mary’ Cast Alice Eve to Star in Planned Trilogy Based on Haunted Ship

Deadline has revealed that the Belgravia and Star Trek actress Alice Eve has signed on to star in The Queen Mary. The film is said to be the first in a planned trilogy of horror films inspired by the hauntings on-board the infamous ocean liner.

While plot details are being kept under wraps for now, we do know that the project was inspired by the famous ocean liner of the same name. Now permanently docked in Long Beach, CA, the ship has been named Time Magazine’s most haunted place in the world. The Queen Mary also receives two million visitors each year and patrons can even stay the night aboard. (Check with local travel guidelines)

Gary Shore (Dracula Untold) has sign on to direct with a screenplay written by Stephen Oliver, Tom Vaughan, and Shore. “We were immediately obsessed with Gary’s intelligent and twisted multi-film take on a great American legend and could not be more excited working with an extremely gifted actor in bringing this story to audiences around the world,” said Mark Tomberlin a producer for Imagination Design Works.

Shore added: “I’m fascinated, obsessed and disturbed by this ship – there’s something very dark and human about her. It’s a stylistic tightrope between reverence and horror.”
