The Walking Dead Season 10 Norman Reedus

Norman Reedus Says Delayed ‘The Walking Dead’ Season 10 Finale is “Epic”

2020 has been a year of cancelations and rescheduling of events, films, vacations and sanity. One of those delayed projects is the season 10 finale of AMC Network’s The Walking Dead. But star Norman Reedus says the finale will be worth the wait.

The AMC horror-drama wrapped filming on season 10 in November of last year. However they were unable to finish complicated post-production special effects on the season finale. The unseen episode was originally supposed to air on April 12, but it still remains unclear when viewers will be able to tune in. (Warning: Spoilers for Season 10 ahead)

The last aired episode, left fans with Beta (played by Ryan Hurst) and his Whisperers leading a horde of walkers to an abandoned hospital where the group are hiding. In a recent interview with EW, Norman Reedus says the finale will be epic and “like a full-on Game of Thrones super war battle.”

Reedus says that the episode was exhausting for more than just his character, Daryl. “It was a lot of fun to shoot,” he says, “but we really pushed the crew and pushed the actors on that one. Everyone really had to dig deep because… talk about exhausting episodes! There were huge battle scenes until the wee hours of the morning consistently, and it looks so grand on an epic scale. Those battle scenes are going to be legendary.”

Of course this isn’t the first time the cast and crew of The Walking Dead have been pushed to extremes. “They really stick it to us on that show,” says Reedus elaborating. “But it always pays off. This show will go down in history. And I feel like every time we get to a finale or even a mid-season finale, we could be in over our heads, but there’s a confidence there and everybody really brings it.”

For now there is no word of when Norman Reedus and the rest of our survivors on The Walking Dead will return. But at least we know that once the finale is aired, fans will be in store for blood and hopefully some amazing zombie gore! Be sure to follow ScaryNerd for more of all things horror.
