‘Mortal Kombat’ Drops First 7 Minutes Online Ahead of Debut

The R-rated reboot of the video game film Mortal Kombat will head to HBO Max and theaters around the globe. But today Warner Bros gave fans a little taste of what’s to come by releasing the first 7 minutes of the film on Youtube.

The film was directed by Simon McQuoid and written by Greg Russo and Dave Callaham, based on the iconic video game franchise. The clip reveals the opening sequence, which features Hanzo Hasashi/Scorpion (Hiroyuki Sanada), whose family comes under attack from Bi-Han/Sub-Zero (Joe Taslim).
