Horror Movies Coming to Theaters in September

Kick off Halloween season with these new horror films coming to the big screen. Here’s a list of what we are looking forward to in the next month. We know its a long wait until October for the upcoming continuation of Halloween. Until then, you can check out these films to hold you over.

The Nun

Featuring a priest with a haunted past and a novice on the threshold of her final vows. The two are sent by the Vatican to investigate the death of a young nun in Romania and confront a malevolent force of a demonic nun. Directed by Corin Hardy, and starring Bonnie Aarons, Taissa Farming, and Jonny Coyne. Coming to theaters September 7th

The Predator

They’re stronger, faster and smarter than ever in the latest Predator installment. When a young boy accidentally triggers the universe’s most lethal hunters’ return to Earth, only a ragtag crew of ex-soldiers and a disgruntled science teacher can prevent the end of the human race. Directed by Shane Black and starring Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn. In theaters September 14th

Lizzie

In 1892 all is quiet in Massachusetts under the strict rules established by Lizzie’s father. When tension mounts in the Borden household, Lizzie reaches a violent breaking point. Directed by Craig William Macneill, and starring Kristen Stewart, Chloë Sevigny and Kim Dickens. Coming to theaters September 14th

Mandy

In the Pacific Northwest in 1983,  outsiders Red Miller and Mandy Bloom lead a loving and peaceful existence until it is savagely destroyed. Sending Red into a phantasmagoric journey filled with bloody vengeance and laced with deadly fire. Starring Nicolas Cage, Andrea Riseborough and Linus Roache. Coming to theaters September 14th

Assassination Nation

This film is listed officially as a thriller. However, it looks to be a blood bath of gory fun! When an anonymous hacker exposes the secrets of the residents of a small town, four high school girls are out for revenge. Starring Odessa Young, Hari Nef, and Suki Waterhouse. Coming to theaters September 21st

Hell Fest

On Halloween night, three young women head to a ghoulish traveling carnival that features a labyrinth of rides, games and mazes. When a masked serial killer turns up, their fun night turns into a night of terror. Starring Bex Taylor-Klaus, Reign Edwards and Tony Todd. Coming to theaters September 28th
