Paramount+ Launching ‘Paranormal Activity’ Documentary and New Film This Halloween
We first told you about the upcoming installment of the Paranormal Activity franchise almost two years ago. Today we learned that Paramount+ will be exclusively premiering the film on the streaming platform. The film, which is the seventh under the title, is being directed by Underwater (2020) director William Eubank and stars Emily Bader, Roland Buck III, Dan Lippert and Henry Ayres-Brown.
Tanya Giles, Chief Programming Officer, ViacomCBS Streaming, revealed the news to Deadline today and also teased a Paranormal Activity documentary on the making of the feature. We’ll also be launching a documentary on the making of the Paranormal Activity feature. Both of which will be coming to the service in time for Halloween.” The film plot is currently unknown but is said to be set in the classic found footage style of the other films.
The feature film was written by Christopher Landon, who is executive producing alongside Steven Schneider with Blumhouse’s Jason Blum and creator Oren Peli producing. Paranormal Activity 7 and the documentary are set to hit the Paramount+ streaming service this Halloween season.
