Thomas Jane heads back to Horror with new film ‘The Orchard’
Thomas Jane is no stranger to the horror genre, having starred in films such as The Mist, 1922, and Dreamcatcher. Now Screen Daily reports that he is attached to star in the upcoming dark thriller The Orchard. Which Bleiberg Entertainment just boarded to executive produce. Next they’ll be launching international sales at the Cannes Film Festival.
“Michael Caissie makes his feature directorial debut on the project. Which centers on a sheriff who gets called to an orchard where three teenage sisters have been attacked by a band of young delinquents. Arriving on the scene, the lawman soon realizes a malevolent force lurks within the grounds that will drag everyone into a fight for their lives.”
Caissie’s last project was 2017’s Hangman, which he wrote and co-produced, starring Al Pacino and Karl Urban.
Production is already underway for The Orchard, which is just the latest horror/thriller project for Jane. After films like The Punisher, Before I Wake, Blumhouse’s The Veil, and last year’s The Predator, we are sure Jane will tackle the malevolent forces awaiting him in the upcoming film. However, Jane isn’t the only big name star attached to the upcoming project. The cast also includes Jay Mohr, India Ennenga, Amanda Wyss, Henry Rollins and Sean Patrick Flanery.
Details about The Orchard are still scarce as the film is currently filming. But be sure to follow ScaryNerd and we’ll keep you updated on all things horror!
