SYFY’s ‘Bring It On’ Horror Film Gets New Title will Premiere in 2022

We first told you about the SYFY Original film a few months ago when it was entitled Bring It On: Halloween. But now sources for Bloody Disgusting have discovered that the new horror sequel is now titled Bring It On: Cheer or Die.

Bring It On: Cheer or Die was produced by Universal 1440 Entertainment, and production in Winnipeg, Canada has just wrapped. SYFY is currently stating that this film will head to the channel and On Demand in Fall of 2022. The film was written by Rebekah McKendry (All the Creatures Were Stirring) and Dana Schwartz from a story by Alyson Fouse (Bring It On: Fight to the Finish). The story will follow a group of cheerleaders as they practice overnight in their school over Halloween weekend, when they begin to fall prey to an attacker who begins picking them off one-by-one.

“We are excited to team up with SYFY to continue this ever-popular franchise with an all-new installment from renowned filmmaker Karen Lam, the very first female director of the movie series,” said Glenn Ross, general manager and executive vice president, Universal 1440 Entertainment. “Featuring a fresh take on the franchise’s historically comedic films, this next chapter showcases a multi-talented diverse cast and will entertain long-time Bring It On movie fans as well as open the doors to the legion of fans who enjoy thrillers.”

Starring is Missi Pyle (Ma), Kerri Medders (“Panic”) and Tiera Skovbye (Summer of 84). The new movie will be the seventh installment in the Bring It On franchise and was directed by Karen Lam (The Curse of Willow Song). Thats all we have on Bring It On: Cheer or Die for now.
