‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Finally Gets Release Date and New Posters; Series to End With Season 5
It has been about three years since Netflix released the third season of Stranger Things. Today, Netflix and the Duffer Brothers have made some big announcements for season 4 and that the series will end with a final fifth season. But don’t be too sad, the wait for season 4 might just have been worth it.
The first Volume of season 4 of the hit sci-fi/horror series will return May 27, while Volume 2 lands July 1. The Duffer Brothers revealed that the season is broken up in volumes because this season will be supersized compared to past seasons. The cast is all back for the new season including stars Caleb McLaughlin, Millie Bobby Brown, Finn Wolfhard, Gaten Matarazzo, Noah Schnapp, and Sadie Sink
Netflix began releasing the posters for the first four episode for the new season this morning via social media (below). After getting fans ready for the next installment the news was announced about the plans to end the series with a fifth and final season.
“Seven years ago, we planned out the complete story arc for Stranger Things. At the time, we predicted the story would last four or five seasons. It proved too large to tell in four, but — as you’ll soon see for yourselves — we are now hurtling toward our finale. Season 4 will be the penultimate season; season 5 will be the last.”
Stranger Things will take us out of Hawkins and to new places in season 4, including to Russia and California. There are also new faces joining the cast for season 4 including Robert Englund, Jamie Campbell Bower, Joseph Quinn, Eduardo Franco and more.
Check out the new Stranger Things posters below and Volume 1 will debut on Netflix this May 27, while Volume 2 lands July 1. Be sure to follow ScaryNerd for all things horror, sci-fi and more.
