‘Stranger Things’ Season 4 Finn Wolfhard Teases “Darkest Season There’s Ever Been”
Fans of the Netflix hit series of Stranger Things have been waiting for season 4 since the summer of 2019. With the world wide pandemic pushing production schedules back, the wait has been longer that expected. However, one of the stars of the series, Finn Wolfhard, says that fans are in for even more thrills and chills in the upcoming season 4.
Wolfhard, who plays the character of Mike Wheeler, recently appeared on CBC Radio’s Q. While he wasn’t able to provide any specific details, he did give some thoughts on the new season.

“Every season it gets darker. Really, I will say with Season 3 I was like, this is the darkest season that there’ll ever be, like the exploding rats and everything. But really, Season 4 so far, it’s the darkest season there’s ever been,” he said. “Every year, it gets amped up. Every year it gets funnier and darker and sadder, and everything. Every year, they amp it up.”
Stranger Things producer, Shawn Levy, has said the pandemic actually gave the Duffer brothers more time to review the scripts. With the recent cast additions, including Robert Englund, the series seems to be leaning more into horror with season 4. The sci-fi elements are sure to remain a central theme as well, with the hero Sheriff Hopper being transported into Russia at the end of season 3.
Unfortunately, we are still waiting for a release date for Stranger Things Season 4. Hopefully, we will be able to have some spooky fun in Hawkins later on this year on Netflix. For now, be sure to follow ScaryNerd for more of all things horror.
