Amazon’s ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ Series Sets New Cast
Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television have began casting for the new series reboot of I Know What You Did Last Summer. Sources for Deadline revealed that Madison Iseman (Jumanji: The Next Level, Annabelle Comes Home), Brianne Tju (Light as a Feather), Ezekiel Goodman, Ashley Moore(Popstar: Never Stop Never Stopping), Sebastian Amoruso (Solve), Fiona Rene(Stumptown), Cassie Beck (Connecting),Brooke Bloom (Homecoming) and Bill Heck (I’m Your Woman) are all set to star in the YA horror series.
The series is said to be a modern take on the hit 1997 slasher film. The series is written by Sara Goodman (Preacher) and is based on the 1973 novel by Lois Duncan. The I Know What You Did Last Summer series will have the same premise as the film version. A group of teens, from a small seaside town, are stalked by a mysterious killer a year after a fatal accident on their graduation night. Character’s and their descriptions have not been released, however Iseman appears to be the lead.
Goodman will also executive produce with executive producers Shay Hatten, Neal Moritz and Pavun Shetty, Erik Feig and Atomic Monster’s James Wan, Rob Hackett and Michael Clear. Craig Macneill (Lizzie) is already slated to director and executive produce the first episode.
Iseman is best known to horror fans for her roles in Annabelle Comes Home and Welcome To the Blumhouse: Nocturne. She has also appeared in Sony’s Jumanji franchise and Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween. Up next she stars opposite Katherine Heigl the Lionsgate thriller Fear of Rain.
I Know What You Did Last Summer series should go into production later this month in Hawaii. However the recent resurgence of the world wide pandemic could delay many productions again this year. So stay tuned to ScaryNerd for more of all things horror.
