Ethan Hawke Reprises 'The Purge' role for Series Season Two Finale
It’s been nearly seven years since Ethan Hawke’s character, James Sandin, fell victim to The Purge. However, USA Networks have announced that Hawke will reprise his role in the season 2 finale episode of the spinoff series. So how will James Sandin make his return to The Purge universe?
Well since his security system failed to protect him and his family, Sandin will be seen in a flash back sequence. Hawke’s Sandin will be featured in the finale’s cold open. Which will flash back to one week prior to the inaugural national Purge night. It will follow as Sandin’s high-tech security system is tested for the first time.

Blumhouse’s 2013 hit inspired multiple sequels and the TV series currently airing on the USA Network. The series cast features Derek Luke, Max Martini, Paola Núñez, and Joel Allen. Series creator James DeMonaco, also wrote all four Purge films and directed the first three. The season two finale entitled “7:01 AM,” will air Dec 17 at 9 p.m. ET.
