‘The Purge 5’ Pulled from July Release Date Indefinitely
The Purge 5, or if you prefer its official title, The Forever Purge, was originally slated to hits theaters this July 10th. However, today Universal and Blumhouse have officially delayed the fifth and final Purge movie indefinitely.
There is currently no news of when it will make it to theaters or head to PVOD. But this is not the first film to be pulled from its original release date in the wake of the worldwide pandemic.
The Forever Purge stars Leven Rambin (“True Detective”), Susie Abromeit (“Jessica Jones“), Ana de la Reguera (“Goliath” and Tenoch Huerta (“Narcos: Mexico“). The film was written by franchise creator, James DeMonaco and it was directed by Everardo Gout.
The Purge franchise kicked off in 2013 with the first film starring Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey. Most recently the spinoff television show was canceled by USA Network.
It is unclear when the film will be released but be sure to stay tuned and we will keep you up-to-date as this story develops.
