‘The Collector’ trilogy: ‘The Collected’ confirmed as official title!
We’ve already told you about the third installment of ‘The Collector’ franchise earlier this month. But now Bloody Disgusting has officially announced the title of the sequel will be ‘The Collected.’
This was welcome news for fans of the franchise. As we last saw the protagonist Arkin (Josh Stewart) collect the Collector at the finish of the second installment. The Collector and The Collection were one of the best slasher franchises to come out in the 2000s/2010s. And now fans are finally getting their long awaited sequel.
Returning to co-write the script are franchise alums Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton. Dunstan is also on board to direct the upcoming sequel. Filming will reportedly take place in Fall of 2019, and the franchise will go back to its roots. “The Collected is going to triple down on the grit and suspense we had in the first Collector.”
Like we said before this title is a perfect third installment to the franchise.
Stewart’s Arkin has been through hell at the hands of the mysterious Collector. Who has a knack for laying out elaborate traps to collect his victims. Stewart returned for the sequel, and defeated the Collector and his funhouse of terrors. The ending has been one of the main reasons for fans wanting a sequel. Hopefully that means we will get to see Arkin give the Collector a taste of his own medicine. But more importantly, we need to see where Arkin and the mysterious Collector end up.
Josh Stewart and Emma Fitzpatrick are both back to reprise their roles.
Producing the project is David Brown (Clear Horizon Entertainment) and Brett Forbes (Rad All Day Productions). Be sure to follow ScaryNerd and we will keep you up to date on all things horror!
