AMC’s ‘She Is Risen’ Screening Event for ‘Saint Maud’ Brings Classic Female Driven Horror Back to Theaters
On April 3, A24 will release their upcoming horror film Saint Maud. Ahead of the release, A24 is teaming with AMC Theatres to bring horror fans the ‘She Is Risen’ screening series. This month long event will center on religious themed, and female driven horror.
“We’re celebrating a handful of the female-fronted horrors that have haunted us for years. ‘She Is Risen’ is a four-week event you won’t want to miss, with classic horrors back in theatres and an early screening of Saint Maud on April 1.”

The “She Is Risen” event will include the Director’s Cut of The Exorcist, Rosemary’s Baby, The Conjuring, and advanced screenings of Saint Maud on April 1st. Director Rose Glass’s debut feature is a chilling tale of faith and madness. Maud (Morfydd Clark) is a devout hospice nurse, who becomes obsessed with saving her dying patient’s soul.
