Its been nearly a decade since Eli Craig released his horror-comedy Tucker and Dale vs. Evil. The nonconventional comedy showed horror fans what it was like if horror movies were all just a big misunderstanding. Starring Tyler Labine and Alan Tudyk as two of the nicest hillbillies, who get mistaken for backwoods murderers.
Since the release in 2010, fans have been wanting a sequel to the hilarious and gory film. Now that looks as though the filmmakers are finally getting to work on the next installation. In a recent interview with Tyler Labine, Broke Horror Fan got some inside info about project. While he gave few details, one thing is sure: they are working on “something.”
“We’re working on something right now. I wouldn’t call it a film sequel, but the story is not done being told,” Labine told Broke Horror Fan.
“I can’t really tell you much, but we’re in development with a couple things right now. Things are looking pretty good. Alan and I are both still on board, along with Eli. We’re just trying to line up a few pieces. It’s just a matter of timing. We’re going to get something to the fans, because that’s really the only reason we want to do it. No one’s getting rich off this thing. Alan and I have always been like, ‘Whatever we do has to be for the people that stuck with it and made it what it is.’ That’s all the fans. Hopefully something will come to fruition.“
