This film will no doubt be as anxiety inducing as it was to get the film made. Something the directors explained to EW. “Showing up on set, seeing Neve and David and Courteney for the first time, seeing Ghostface for the first time, it was surreal,” said director Matt Bettinelli-Olpin. “It felt like we were having this weird, out-of-body fan experience, but we were also doing our adult job at the same time.”

You can check out the first trailer for Scream below and the film will be released Jan. 14, 2022. Be sure to follow ScaryNerd for all things horror, sci-fi and more.
