Paranormal Activity: Next of Kin has released its trailer and is taking us into a remote settlement. The seventh film in the popular found footage franchise hit the streaming platform, Paramount+, today.
As with the entire franchise, we see the classic camera styles, creepy children and demonic entities. However this one is set on an Amish settlement, however they may not be what they seem. The film was written by Christopher Landon (Happy Death Day, Freaky) and directed by William Eubank (Underwater).
The film synopsis is as follows: “A documentary filmmaker follows Margot (Emily Bader), as she heads to a secluded Amish community in the hopes of meeting and learning about her long-lost mother and extended family. Following a string of strange occurrences and discoveries, she soon realizes this community that welcomed them into their home might be hiding something sinister…”
