Tom Atkins May Join Josh Stewart in ‘The Collected’
The third installment to The Collector franchise, The Collected was announced earlier this year. The sleeper-hit franchise began back in 2009 starring actor Josh Stewart. Who reprised his role as Arkin in 2012’s The Collection. Fans were hopeful they would see Steward’s character again. Due largely to the fact that Collection’s ending left it open for a new direction.
When the third film was announced, Stewart confirmed via Twitter that he would be returning. Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, who wrote the first two films, are returning to pen the script, with Dunstan also directing. And according to Bloody Disgusting, horror icon Tom Atkins is in talks for a role in the third installment.

The Creepshow actor is reportedly in talks for a starring role in the upcoming trilogy. At this point few details about the character have been released. But it has been confirmed that Atkins’ character would face the Collector. More importantly, filmmakers have promised fans more scares. “The Collected is going to triple down on the grit and suspense we had in the first Collector.”
Production on The Collected will begin this fall, with an expected 2020 theatrical release. So stay tuned for more updates! What do you hope to see in the next film? Leave a comment below and let us know! Be sure to follow ScaryNerd for more of all things horror!
