It’s no secret that The New Mutants has had some issues making its way to our screens. It was originally slated for an April 2018 release, yet here we are still waiting for it in 2020. Well after years of waiting, after studio purchases, post production hell and finally a global pandemic, 20th Century Studios/Marvel’s The New Mutants on the theatrical release calendar for August 28…for now anyway.
Sources for Deadline say that Disney will keep this film committed to theaters as long as they can. For now there are no plans to bring the film to Disney+, which had been a rumor that was circulating for awhile. But don’t be surprised if things change, especially as the pandemic resurges.

Either way The New Mutants is currently scheduled to hit theaters on August 28 2020.
