The nightmares aren’t over for the people of Hawkins, Indiana. The filmmakers behind Netflix‘ Stranger Things gave fans some insight into the new faces of the highly anticipated season 4. Among the new faces are Horror Icon Robert Englund a.k.a Freddy Krueger. The Nightmare on Elm Street alum will take on the role of Victor Creel, “a disturbed and intimidating man who is imprisoned in a psychiatric hospital.”
Also joining the series is Jamie Campbell Bower, an actor who you’ve seen in all major fandoms of the last few years. From Twilight to Harry Potter, now on to Stranger Things, and Bower will play Peter Ballard, “a caring man who works as an orderly at a psychiatric hospital.”
Joseph Quinn (Catherine the Great) has also joined as a series regular as character Eddie Munson, an ’80s metalhead who heads The Hellfire Club, Hawkins High’s official Dungeons & Dragons club. Sherman Augustus (Westworld) joins as Lt. Colonel Sullivan, who thinks he knows how to stop the evil in Hawkins once and for all. Mason Dye (The Goldbergs) takes on the role of the rich and handsome teen sports star Jason Carver. Last but not least is Eduardo Franco (Booksmart) as Jonathan’s (Charlie Heaton) new best friend Argyle, “a fun-loving stoner who proudly delivers delicious pizza pies for Surfer Boy Pizza.”

Stranger Things Season 4 will take viewers far out of Hawkins to Russia, where Chief of Police Hopper (David Harbour) is being held by Russian operatives. Tom Wlaschiha, has been cast as Dmitri, a Russian prison guard who is smart, cunning, and charming. Another recurring actor, Nikola Djuricko (Genius) is Yuri, “a seedy and unpredictable Russian smuggler who loves bad jokes, cold hard cash, and crunchy style peanut butter.”
Production on Stranger Things season 4 was suspended due to the world wide pandemic but has since resumed filming. There is currently no premiere date but you can check out a small teaser below. Be sure to follow ScaryNerd for more of all things horror.
