‘Ju-On: Origins’ Netflix New Series Explores the Backstory of The Cursed House

Nexflix’s new series Ju-On: Origins, is taking us back where it all started. The show will act as a prequel series to the film Ju-On: The Curse (2000), by filmmaker Takashi Shimizu.

Shimizu’s film birthed a successful franchise, with it’s own American remake, The Grudge. The latest installment in The Grudge franchise was released earlier this year and starred Lin Shaye and John Cho. This summer fans will discover more about the origins of the dark force that haunts the house. The new series stars Yoshiyoshi Arakawa, Yuina Kuroshima and Rikika.

Can the people haunted by this house escape from its curse? And what kind of grim incident occurred in this cursed house in the past?”
