Hulu’s ‘Into the Dark” Gets Ritualistic with ‘The Treehouse’
The Blumhouse horror anthology is back, and tackling the Ides of March with ‘The Treehouse.’ The series, Into the Dark features horrifying tales, each about a different holiday. The first five installments of the series are currently available on Hulu. When the series began back in October, the episodes gave off a slight comedic feel. But after last month’s episode, ‘Down‘, its clear that the series is starting to take a darker route.
As mentioned earlier, ‘The Treehouse‘ episode will center on the sudo holiday of the Ides of March. Which is a day on the Roman calendar that corresponds to the 15th of March. It is also marked by several religious observances and is most notable for the Romans as a deadline for settling debts.
The new trailer shows some ladies getting witchy, and a creepy entity lurking in the shadows. Hopefully, bringing horror fans a classic horror story with some spine tingling chills.
‘The Treehouse‘ is a tale of a popular chef, Peter Rake (Jimmi Simpson), trying to escape a scandal by retreating to his family’s isolated vacation home. However, his dead father appears to have left behind some debts. Now, Peter must learn that a woman’s place is anywhere that she chooses to be.
The cast also includes Mary McCormack (1408, The Kids Are Alright), Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Shaunette Renee Wilson (Black Panther), Michael Weston, Maggie Lawson, Julianna Guill, Amanda Walsh, Sutton Foster, and Cass Bugge. Check out the trailer below and ‘The Treehouse‘ will be available to stream on Hulu on March 1st.
