‘Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities’ Adds New Stars to Netflix Horror Anthology
Servant star Rupert Grint has been cast to star in Netflix’s new horror anthology series Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities, Deadline exclusively revealed. He joins Essie Davis, Luke Roberts, Andrew Lincoln, F. Murray Abraham, Glynn Turman, Ben Barnes, Elpidia Carrillo, Hannah Galway, Crispin Glover, Demetrius Grosse, David Hewlett, Tim Blake Nelson, Sebastian Roché and Peter Weller.
Grint caught the attention of del Toro with his role in Apple’s Servant, which led the director to take to Twitter to express his praise of Grint‘s role. Servant wrapped its second season last spring, and the third season will be premiering in January 2022.

Panos Cosmatos (Mandy), Jennifer Kent (The Nightingale) and Vincenzo Natali (In the Tall Grass) are also attached to write and direct episodes of the Netflix series. Del Toro will exec produce and act as co-showrunner of the horror anthology.
Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities is a collection of live-action stories that Netflix says “is meant to challenge our traditional notions of horror. From macabre to magical, gothic to grotesque or classically creepy, the eight sinister tales — including two original works by del Toro — will be brought to life by a team of writers and directors personally chosen by the Shape of Water filmmaker.”
Guillermo del Toro’s Cabinet of Curiosities is set to stream on Netflix in 2022. You can catch Grint in the upcoming Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, premiering on HBO Max on January 1. Be sure to follow ScaryNerd for all things horror, sci-fi and more.
