Here’s Everything We Know About ‘Halloween Kills’ So Far
Since the official announcement of the two upcoming Halloween sequels, fans have been anxious for news. Over the past few weeks there has been a lot of updates and casting details released for 2020’s Halloween Kills. Its a lot to keep straight. So we have compiled all the info we that’s been revealed so far.
The ‘Halloween Kills’ Cast
Universal announced the continuation of Laurie Strode’s (Jamie Lee Curtis) story via a teaser trailer. The short video revealed that there were two sequels in the works, Halloween Kills and Halloween Ends. Shortly after Jason Blum, head of Blumhouse, tweeted “the gang is ALL back” for the upcoming installments.
Which includes Curtis, Danny McBride, David Gordon Green, and John Carpenter. Carpenter, who is returning as producer, recently told ComicBook.com that he also will be composing the scores for the upcoming sequels. Nick Castle, the original Michael Myers, also revealed that he would be putting on the mask once again.
Other returning cast members from 2018’s Halloween includes Judy Greer, Andi Matichak, and James Jude Courtney. Also returning is standout star Jibrail Nantambu. He recently told Halloween Daily News that he would be returning as the foulmouthed, Julian.

The Return of Tommy and Lindsey
Two characters from the original 1978 film are also coming back, Lindsey Wallace and Tommy Doyle. When the sequels were announced, there were rumors that we would see tommy’s character again. Tommy was first introduced to audiences by actor Brian Andrews. The last time his character was portrayed was by Paul Rudd in 1995’s Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers. But that timeline ignored in the 2018 Halloween sequel. Now Anthony Michael Hall has officially been cast to bring the character into 2020.
The character of Lindsey, unlike Tommy, hasn’t been seen since the original film. Lindsey was played by actress Kyle Richards in the original Halloween. Richards will be reprising her role in 2020’s Halloween Kills according to HalloweenMovies. Which means we could see the original three survivors reunite.
The Story Will Have a “Wild Arch”
Blumhouse executive Ryan Turek will be overseeing the sequels for the company. He also co-produced 2018’s Halloween which was directed by Gordon Green, and written by Danny McBride. During a recent podcast for Shock Waves, Turek gave a few insights into the story.
When asked if a year ago he could have pictured the possibility of two confirmed sequels, Turek replied, “No. I think we pictured it after the movie’s release. There were always musings of where we can go with it, but there was never any legit conversation until the film came out. And David always had something rattling in the back of his brain, him and Danny, always had an idea for kind of an arc — and it’s a wild arc! It’s crazy!”
Finally, these two sequels will officially mark the end to the Strode/Myers story. Speaking with Collider, director Gordon Green promised fans a conclusion in 2021. “They’re never done telling the Frankenstein story, and at this point, Michael Myers is a classic movie monster. But our Jamie Lee Curtis as Laurie Strode/Michael Myers saga will be done. The fun of it is also seeing it end and knowing that it can. If you just keep trying to elongate it and milk it for all of the money, then that’s boring.”
Production on the upcoming sequels, that are shooting back to back, begins this September. You can see Michael Myers stalk Laurie Strode yet again when Halloween Kills comes to theaters on Oct. 16, 2020. Halloween Ends will follow a year later, on Oct. 15, 2021.
