Djimon Hounsou is joining Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe and newcomer Cillian Murphy in the upcoming sequel A Quiet Place 2. Hounsou will be taking over for actor Brian Tyree Henry. Who was previously in talks to star alongside returning cast members, but who had to drop out due to scheduling conflicts.
The Paramount and Platinum Dunes followup to horror hit will be directed by John Krasinski for which also wrote the script. The 2018 film A Quiet Place grossed a staggering $341 million worldwide. Of course, no plot details have been released at this point. But the film has already begun shooting.

Djimon Hounsou has had a big year in 2019, with recent credits including Captain Marvel and Shazam!. Next up, he stars in the upcoming Kingsman prequel The King’s Man. According to Deadline Hollywood, he is also slated for roles in the Marvel revisionist superhero series What If…? He will also portray one of the Bosleys in the upcoming Elizabeth Banks-directed Charlie’s Angels.
