‘Boy Kills World’ Casts Bill Skarsgård, Samara Weaving & Yayan Ruhian; Sam Raimi & Roy Lee to Produce

A new sci-fi action movie, Boy Kills World, that will be set in a dystopian fever dream reality has added some key cast members according to sources for Deadline. Production is just getting started for the film that will shoot in South Africa.

Bill Skarsgård (It Chapter Two) has been cast as Boy, a deaf mute with a vibrant imagination. When his family is murdered, he escapes to the jungle and is trained by a mysterious shaman, martial arts expert Yayan Ruhian (Star Wars: Episode VII – The Force Awakens), to repress his childish imagination and become an instrument of death. Also starring is Samara Weaving (Ready or Not), who will play assassin June 27.

The film will be directed by German filmmaker Moritz Mohr, marking his feature directing debut. It was Mohr’s cinematic visualization of the film that was noticed by Sam Raimi, who will produce under his Raimi Productions banner, with Roy Lee of Vertigo Entertainment. The screenplay was written by Arend Remmers (Sløborn) and Tyler Burton Smith (Kung Fury: The Movie).
