Björk and Robert Eggers are joining quirky forces to bring his new Viking film to life. EW confirmed the news that the Icelandic singer has joined the cast of historical Viking revenge drama, The Northman. Previously announced actors include Nicole Kidman, Willem Dafoe, Alexander Skarsgård, Anya Taylor-Joy, and Ethan Hawke.
Björk will be taking on a role as a witch in the New Regency/Focus Features production. The story is said to be a gritty revenge saga set in Iceland at the turn of the 10th century. Recently, filming was able to begin after being delayed by the global pandemic.

Eggers has been making waves in the horror genre since his 2015 hit The Witch starring Anya Taylor-Joy. He then took viewers on a journey through isolation with his Willam Dafoe and Robert Pattinson starring psychological thriller The Lighthouse.
