Hulu announced that they have set a release date for Aneesh Chaganty’s Run. The film stars Emmy winner and AHS fan favorite, Sarah Paulson and Kiera Allen. This new thriller centers on homeschooled teenager who begins to suspect her mother is keeping something dark hidden from her. Run is set to hit the streaming platform on November 20.
The film was originally set for a May 8 theatrical release, but studios began to rethink all scheduled dates when the pandemic shut things down in March. This is one of the latest film from Lionsgate to skip U.S. theaters and head straight to streaming. However, Run, is still expected to get a theatrical release overseas.

“Thanksgiving week is a wickedly fitting time to release the film, and we’re grateful to Hulu for trusting us to headline the holidays for them,” Chaganty said in a statement to Deadline. “As the pandemic stretches on and mass communal activity shows no sign of returning to normal for at least another year, the merits of waiting for a theatrical release diminish – for most movies, but especially for a film as nimble as ours.”
Run is the follow up to Chaganty’s directorial debut, Searching (2018), starring John Cho as a father frantic to find his missing 16-year-old daughter.
