Alan Tudyk‘s SYFY series “Resident Alien” has officially been renewed by the network! The series follows Tudyk’s character, an alien who has taken over the life of a local doctor of a small Colorado town, Dr. Harry Vanderspeigle. The series has turned out to be a massive success for the network, “Resident Alien” is SYFY’s highest-rated new drama in more than six years.
The pilot episode was watched by over 9 million viewers across multiple platforms. With episode 2 seeing an increase of 581,000 viewers, which was the largest increase in viewers for a cable drama launch since 2014. The series is based on the Dark Horse comic of the same name by Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse.

Alongside Alan Tudyk is the fantastic supporting cast, Sara Tomko (Asta Twelvetrees), Alice Wetterlund (D’Arcy Bloom), Elizabeth Bowen (Deputy Liv Baker), Meredith Garretson (Kate Hawthorne), Judah Prehn (Max Hawthorne), Gary Farmer (Dan Twelvetrees), Kaylayla Raine (Jay), Alex Barima (David Logan), Mandell Maughan (Lisa Casper), Elvy Yost (Isabelle), Jenna Lamia (Judy), and Ben Cotton (Jimmy). Terminator vet Linda Hamilton rounds out the cast as General McCallister, a military leader trying to get her hands on the alien for scientific study.
