‘Lisey’s Story’ Trailer Sees Julianne Moore Grapple With Reality and A Crazed Fan
The trailer for the Stephen King adaptation of Lisey’s Story starring Julianne Moore has finally given us our first look into the new thriller. Stephen King wrote the novel by the same name and also wrote all episodes of the series.
The limited series was directed by Pablo Larraín, and produced by J. J. Abrams’ Bad Robot Productions and Warner Bros. Television. The trailer immerses viewers into a fantastic new reality, or perhaps a delusion. We follow Lisey Landon (Julianne Moore), who’s famous novelist husband, Scott Landon (Clive Owen) passed away two years ago.
She becomes hounded by a sinister fan, who wants to obtain many of Lisey’s late husband’s unpublished manuscripts. Lisey also must face a series of events involving her family, leading her to confront repressed memories of her dead husband.

In a recent interview with EW, Moore said that the story remains very faithful to the book. “It’s all in there,” she said. “Because there’s so much in it — psychological horror, romance, mystery, a science-fiction-like quality, sort of scary brutality — sometimes I was like, holy cow, what now?”
Lisey’s Story, based on the Stephen King novel, and adapted by King himself, will premiere its first two episodes on Friday, June 4, followed by a new episode every week on Apple TV+.
