[Watch] Things Get Trippy in First Trailer for ‘Jacob’s Ladder’ Remake
The first trailer for the remake of Jacob’s Ladder has arrived. The film, based on the 1990’s film of the same name, will be released in theaters on August 23rd. The new horror-thriller is an updated version of the original story. Viewers will follow Jacob Singer, a man who is trying to get his life back together after the death of his brother in Afghanistan.
Singer, along with his wife and newborn child seemingly have the perfect life. He even has a successful career as a surgeon at a VA hospital. However, things take a dark turn when a stranger approaches him and tells him that his brother is alive. After finding his brother at an underground shelter for homeless vets, Jacob’s life goes off the rails. He becomes paranoid and begins hallucinating. Jacob continues to unravel while he searches for the truth about his brother.

Jacob’s Ladder stars Michael Ealy (The Intruder), Jesse Williams (Cabin in the Woods) and Nicole Beharie (Black Mirror). Directed by David M. Rosenthal (How It Ends) and co-written by Jeff Buhler (Pet Sematary) and Sarah Thorpe.
