Upcoming “Pet Sematary” Remake Cast Details
What We Know So Far
[metaslider id=”174″]Details about the Pet Sematary remake have slowly been released, but with officially began production in June, we hopefully won’t have to wait long. Starring Jason Clarke as Louis Creed, a doctor from Chicago, who moves his young family to the small town of Ludlow, Maine. However, there is a quiet darkness to this seemingly tranquil town. Situated next to the Creed’s new home is a busy roadway that has claimed many of the towns pets.
The Creed’s neighbor Jud Crandall, played by John Lithgow, leads them to a make shift pet cemetery in the woods. Despite warnings from Jud, and Louis’s own nightmares, he eventually discovers the dark powers of the land. Amy Seimetz (Stranger Things and Alien: Covenant) is set to take on the role of Rachel, Louis’ wife. Even though many of the main characters have been cast it is still unknown who will play the role of Victor Pascow; a ghostly figure who haunts Louis, originally played by actor Brad Greenquist. There is still no word if the unfortunate ghost will be it in the remake.
Rumors of a remake have swirled for years, but with the success of last year’s “It”, Pet Sematary was put on the fast track. The original brought in $57 million with an $11 million budget, and even led to a less successful sequel. Now that production has officially begun, hopefully first looks will be released sometime early 2019. AS of now the movie is slated to be released in theaters in April of 2019. The generation that grew up scared by the tales of Stephen King looks to reimagine his stories. We can hope that the Pet Sematary remake will bring new life (and death) to the Stephen King Renaissance.
Oh, thanks for sharing this information. Can’t wait to see it, when it finally arrives.
Not much a fan of horror movies or thriller. But great to know this about the film. I can at least share this to my friends who is much more interested in horror movies. Cast looks promising, never seen the og as well.
I’ve never heard about this book of Stephen King but everything what he does is genius. Let’s see what’s gonna happen with the remake of the movie!
I haven’t seen Pet Sematary yet but this made me curious. The production and the cast look like it’s gonna be a great movie!
I’ve never actually seen the original Pet Cemetary or even read the book. I feel like there’s a resurgence for Steven King’s work and doing remakes and what not. Maybe I’ll see the new one!
I am waiting for pet sematary. I love this actor, Jason Clarke. He did awesome job as John connor in terminator, then zero dark thirty, the great Gatsby and Everest.
This is interesting another thriller movie. I will wait for its release!
This is a very informative read. Watching horror films are sometimes good but it solely depends on the person who’s watching it. But, the thought of a “remake” is really interesting. You’d want to compare and contrast everything between the two. This is really nice.
Oh I didnt know about this film although I have read the book. I love Stephen King, he is such a talented writer and Im sure that transfers to the big screen.
Ironic that they would choose to resurrect Pet Cemetary. You see what I did there? A little humor. lol
Oh, this sounds great! I’ll have to definitely check it out once it’s in theaters. Thanks for sharing!
I love the original and will most definitely be checking the new one out! Thanks for sharing as I had no idea they were remaking this and I am super excited now!
I love horror movies, but I don’t like this “remake” trend thats going on in the film industry. It seems like people can’t come up with new ideas anymore. Movies are either remakes these days or way too boring using the same routines (wooden house in the forest, haunted house where the family moves in, demon that lives in an object and want a real body etc etc.)
I never saw the first one – I was too chicken. Ha! I don’t know if I’ll see the second one, either. Interesting that they are remaking it!
