‘The Feast’: IFC Midnight Acquires North American Rights To Welsh Horror
IFC Midnight has acquired the North American rights to The Feast, the debut feature from BAFTA-winning TV director Lee Haven Jones. The company has made plans for a fall release for this supernatural revenge horror film.
The film is based on the mythical fables of Wales, and was also filmed in the Welsh language. The story is a journey through a single night, as a family gathers at their lavish home in the Welsh mountains for a dinner party. The party is hosted by local businessman and neighboring farmer to secure a business deal to mine the surrounding countryside.

However, they begin to question their own beliefs when a mysterious young woman arrives to be the family’s hired hand for the meal. They soon feel a disturbing presence beginning to unravel their lives and realize that The Feast may just be their final meal.
The Feast is written and produced by Roger Williams. Annes Elwy, Nia Roberts, Julian Lewis Jones, Sion Alun Davies, Steffan Cennydd, Rhodri Meilir and Lisa Palfrey star. The film was produced through Ffilm Cymru Wales’ Cinematic scheme and funded by S4C, Ffilm Cymru Wales, BFI (using funds from the National Lottery) and Fields Park.
“It’s hard to shake the sense of fear and apprehension that you feel while watching The Feast,” said IFC Films President, Arianna Bocco, “a terrifying and twisted fable that will keep you on the very edge of your seat until the shocking, Grand Guignol-worthy finale.
