‘Let The Right One In’ Ordered to Series At Showtime
Showtime has officially ordered a series version of the 2004 novel Let The Right One In, according to sources for Deadline. The show will star Demián Bichir (Godzilla vs. Kong) and Anika Noni Rose, Grace Gummer, Madison Taylor Baez, Kevin Carroll, Ian Foreman and Jacob Buster.
The bestselling novel was written by John Ajvide Lindqvist and was first adapted into film in 2008 by director Tomas Alfredson. While the story will most likely stick closely to the film, the series is said to be “an exploration of human frailty, strength and compassion through an elevated genre lens.”

The new pilot was written by Andrew Hinderaker, who will also serve as showrunner for the series. Seith Mann directed the pilot and is also slotted to direct additional episodes. “The story will follow Mark (Bichir) and his daughter Eleanor (Baez), whose lives were changed forever 10 years earlier when she was turned into a vampire. Locked in at age 12, perhaps forever, Eleanor lives a closed-in life, able to go out only at night, while her father does his best to provide her with the human blood she needs to stay alive.”
The 10-episode order for the first season of Let The Right One In is set to begin production sometime in early 2022. Thats all we know for now, be sure to stay tuned to ScaryNerd as we follow this story.
