Slasher ‘Bring It On’ Sequel a Go At Syfy Because, Why Not?
Get those spirit fingers ready! Because Syfy has announced a slasher version of the cheerleader comedy Bring It On. The new Syfy original movie, which EW says is tentatively titled Bring It On: Halloween, was written by Rebekah McKendry and Dana Schwartz, and Bring It On: Halloween is set to debut in 2022.
In the new film, viewers will follow a cheerleading squad who are sick of the repressive rules of their high school. They seek out “the freedom of a creepy, closed school gym to practice for regionals, but when members of the squad start to disappear, the cheerleaders must unmask their assailant to save themselves.”

Now, we aren’t sure what fate the cheerleaders will have, but hopefully we get some gory and creative deaths. The film will be produced by Universal 1440 Entertainment, and will be released on non-theatrical platforms in 2022.
Bring It On: Halloween will head to Syfy sometime in 2022. No cast has been announced yet but stay tuned to ScaryNerd for more of all things horror, sci-fi and more.
